Bio

I have enjoyed an interesting and varied career as an audio professional for 21 years.  After graduating from Ohio University I spent the next 2 years working as a live sound reinforcement engineer in New York City.  A strong desire for air conditioning forced me to leave the live sound business for the recording studio, where I worked with some of the top professionals in the record business as an assistant, tech, and engineer.  In 1991 I was introduced to the field of audio post production for video and has never looked back.  After 17 years working at Sony Music Studios, I am currently working at Broadway Video in New York City.  I have mixed cartoons for Saturday Night Live (for which I won an Emmy), award shows and documentaries for MTV, and comedy specials for HBO and Comedy Central.
I started mixing for surround in 1996, the early days of DVD-V.  Since then I have mixed many DVD titles including “Jimi Hendrix Wild Blue Angel”, “Miles Davis Another Kind of Blue”, and “Robin Williams Live on Broadway”.
In the last ten years I have become more interested in recording my own sound effects for design purposes and concentrated on capturing complex surround ambiences.
